Manzalini Shines as Women’s Golf Competes in First Round of NCAA Regionals

The Gators are tied for 8th place at the conclusion of play in the first round at the NCAA Regionals.
STANFORD, Calif. –  The Florida women's golf team opened NCAA Regional play today, posting a 6-over par overall score of 290 to sit in a tie for eighth place at the conclusion of competition.
 
Clara Manzalini led the way for the Gators, posting a stellar 2-under par 69 after carding five birdies on the prestigious course to sit tied for seventh individually heading into the second round.
 
Freshman Maisie Filler followed in her fellow Gators teammates footsteps, sitting two strokes off of Manzalini after a birdie on the 18th hole brought her scorecard down to an even finish and placed her in a tie for 17th individually.
 
Addie Baggarly and Maisie Filler finished tied for 53rd at the conclusion of the first round after posting 4-over par scorecards.
 
Annabell Fuller rounded out the Gators lineup, finishing 5-over par.
 
The Gators will take the course tomorrow at 11 a.m. ET looking to climb the leaderboard.
