RAVE to the young people who came to the immediate aid of my friend who tripped and fell on Capitol Hill a few days ago. She falls occasionally when not using her cane or walker and we’re always gratified by how quickly people arrive to help her to her feet.
RANT to “Sidewalk Closed” barricades that offer no options to pedestrians other than backtracking or levitation. Another one of those situations that fall into the “not my problem” attitude of present-day workers.
RAVE to the parent at Salmon Bay Park who patiently held their child who was having a meltdown over another kid taking a turn on an ATV toy. Kids need calm adults to help them learn how to regulate their feelings over time.
RANT to the dental hygienist who referred to me as old. I may be 70, but I am not old!
